Goliad Main Street envisions Historic Goliad as a place where the preservation of history is honored and respected, the economy thrives and where the community and visitors are invited to enjoy the unique atmosphere.

The Goliad Main Street program supports a strong, healthy Goliad by fostering overall business development while sustaining a high historic preservation ethic by using the four-point approach developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation: Organization, Promotion, Design,

and Economic Restructuring and thus improving the quality of life for the entire community

Texas Downtown Anice Read Grant Recipient

"Music on Main Street"

Main Street Goliad was awarded $5,000.00 to assist in the purchase/installation of 4 outdoor speakers to be installed on the four corners around the Goliad Courthouse Square. They will be beneficial during community events for making announcements and add to the visitors/locals experience. The speaker will play tunes year round.

GVEC Power Up Grant

"Lighting Up Main Street"

Main Street Goliad was a Power Up Grant recipient of $14,816.00 to upgrade 20 of the downtown light fixtures to LED. These lights have been extremely helpful when it comes to properly lighting up the Downtown Square.
